Reforestation in Lazarus Forest, Luwero
Rotary Club of Sonde planted 1,000 trees in Lazarus Forest, Nandere, Luwero District, in partnership with Bethany Land Institute, Tree Adoption Uganda, and Roofings Uganda. Our annual goal is to plant over 20,000 trees to restore 60 degraded acres of forest cover.
Free Medical Surgeries. Rotaplast Mission (June 2026)
In partnership with Rotaplast International and Uganda’s Ministry of Health, RC Sonde is delivering free cleft lip, cleft palate, and burn reconstructive surgeries for Ugandans in need, a milestone in humanitarian healthcare in Uganda.
COVID-19 Vaccination Drive
RC Sonde partnered with Coca-Cola and the Private Sector Foundation Uganda to run mass COVID-19 vaccination drives at the Coca-Cola Plant in Namanve, reaching thousands of people across Mukono District.

Background
Chartered on 29th March 2021 with a record 122 charter members, the Rotary Club of Sonde made history as the first and largest club to be chartered in District 9213, a position it proudly maintains today among the top three biggest clubs in the district.

Meeting Times
We are a community-based and family-oriented club, meeting every Sunday at 4:00 PM at our warm and vibrant home, Model Gardens in Sonde Town, Goma Division, Mukono District.
